Crowd Sourced Design: The Green Frontier in Fashion

It started for me when I found out I could silkscreen my designs onto a t-shirt.  I was hooked like  many other artists when we discovered their designs could be put onto a mass market canvas.  Well, alot has happened since then and now you can be part of a collective of people worldwide to upload, create and design your own graphics printed dress, 3-D designed shoe and join the Digital Fashion Design revolution.  A bikini created from a 3-D software pattern is also part of this revolution and you will have to see this to believe it.  What’s unique, and ‘green’ about this is the amount of industrial waste from the fashion industry has reached epic proportions.  The world’s rivers are currently being ruined by dyes, chemicals,  or other textile industry waste  that makes the fashion industry one of the world’s polluters.  Its time for a new fashion industry revolution. This will be led by the ‘made to order’ or ‘creative crowd-sourcing’ movement that touches on customizing, digital platforms, and 3-D Modeling.  With the this area of fashion becoming one of the future darlings, we’ll soon all be able to ‘create’ our own bespoke designs and share them using the technology that these digital fashion pioneers are creating.

Awesome blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or
go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused ..

    Any suggestions? Kudos!

    1. My suggestion for all content, is to be reaching out via experiences that are both familiar, as well as unfamiliar. Sharing, and being authentic to yourself is where it all begins. Good Luck!
