Sustainability is the new Black. As a fashionista, who attended college at Berkeley, the idea of a sustainability was always part of my culture ‘back in the day’. But, anything sustainable was not very appealing to my Paris sensibilities. I try to discover ways that a fashion-obsessed person can become one with the planet; but it was like being alone in a crowded room, until now.
ZADY, a website that specializes in total sustainability, is really going to change the world. Supply chains are totally transparent. Support of indigenous crafts are critical to the business model and their partnership with BOOTSTRAP will ensure that all purchases will go towards supporting a micro business around the world. Lifestyle and fashion products made here in the USA are also part of the appeal.
Designers like CLARE VIVIER (her inspiration collage pictured) who is originally from France, fits my bill perfectly! Sustainable practices, a touch of French chic and voila – a new kind of designer bag that really appeals to me. Materials are sourced from Italy and made locally here in Los Angeles in her own factory. This is responsible online retail, a project we can all feel good about!
I encourage you to shop away, because it’s so guilt-free! Curation of the goods here is very chic, and very design/function friendly.
